Determine dose (mg/hr) = Dose (mcg/kg/min) x BW (kg) x 60 min/hr 1000 mcg/mg = 2.5 x 70 x 60 = 10.5 mg/hr 1000 2. Determine concentration (mg/ml) = 5 mg/ml (if dilute 250 mg in 50 ml diluent) 3. Remarks

Incompatible with sodium bicarbonate injection or any other strongly alkaline solutions.

Solution may exhibit pink colour (if present, will increase with time). The colour change is due to slight oxidation of drug but there is no significant loss of potency.
