XANTHELASMA
Xanthelasmas are yellowish deposits of fatty material around the eyes. They are common in older people and are harmless, although they can be removed by surgery, if desired.
In younger people, xanthelasmas may be associated with raised levels of fats in the blood (hyperlipidemia), and measures such as dietary changes or medication may be advised to reduce the risk of a heart attack or stroke
