INFLAMMATORY BOWEL DISEASE
Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a collective term for persistent disorders that affect the small intestine or large intestine, or both. It causes symptoms such as recurrent or bloody diarrhea, abdominal pain, abdominal swelling, weight loss, and tiredness.
The most common types of IBD are Crohn’s disease (which can affect any part of the digestive tract but most commonly occurs in the last part of the small intestine or in the colon) and ulcerative colitis (which affects the colon and rectum)
