Reconstituted solution is not for direct injection

Use of 4-hour infusion has been studied in the treatment of VAP

Infusions prepared in D5 should be used for infusion durations greater than one hour

To prepare a dose of 250 mg using a 500 mg vial: reconstitute and dilute as above, but remove and discard 55mL from the infusion bag
