Kidneys are bean-shaped organs, about 11 cm long, 6 cm wide, 3 cm thick and weigh 150 g
the kidney contain usually seven pyramids
cardiac stroke volume is about 70 ml
heart rate is about 72 peat per min
cardiac output =Stroke volume x Heart rate= 70×72= 5 litter per min
the kidneys receive about 22% from cardiac output is about 1100 ml per min
the blood consist from plasma 55% and cell 45%
20% plasma will be filtered by the kidneys each minute
the cells and proteins will not be filtered normally due to molecular weight
