{"id":566,"date":"2025-03-23T20:36:00","date_gmt":"2025-03-23T20:36:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kidneydiseaseclinic.net\/lina\/?p=566"},"modified":"2025-03-23T20:36:00","modified_gmt":"2025-03-23T20:36:00","slug":"dominos-chicken-carbonara-bread-bowl-pasta","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kidneydiseaseclinic.net\/lina\/dominos-chicken-carbonara-bread-bowl-pasta\/","title":{"rendered":"DOMINO&#8217;S Chicken Carbonara Bread Bowl Pasta"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Total Time: 2 hours<br>Prep Time: 1 hour<br>Serves: 4<br><strong>Bread Bowl Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3 teaspoons sugar<br>1 3\/4 cups warm water<br>1 teaspoon yeast<br>4\/1\/2 cups enriched flour<br>2 tablespoons vital wheat gluten<br>2 teaspoons salt<br>2 tablespoons soybean oil<br>Additional flour, for sprinkling<br>2 tablespoons melted butter<br>1\/2 teaspoon garlic powder<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bread Bowl Instructions:<\/strong><br>In a large Pyrex measuring cup, measure 1 \u00be cups of warm water.<br>Add the yeast and sugar to the warm water, stir and set aside.<br>In a large bowl, mix the enriched flour, vital wheat gluten, and salt.<br>Once the yeast mixture has begun to foam (bloom), pour it into the flour mixture.<br>Add the soybean oil to the mixture.<br>Combine the flour, oil, and yeast mixture by kneading it with your hands or using a dough hook in a standing electric mixer until smooth.<br>Wrap the dough in plastic; chill in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes.<br>(Chilled dough is easier to shape than dough that is room temperature.) Preheat the oven to 450 F.<br>Sprinkle a bit of flour over the dough to prevent it from sticking to the work surface.<br>Place the dough on your work surface and cut it into 4 pieces.<br>Gently shape each piece of dough into a ball by stretching the edges of the dough and tucking them under to make a bread bowl.<br>Make a \u00bc inch deep cut along the top of each ball and put it onto a pizza stone or baking sheet.<br>Brush the top and sides of the dough with melted butter.<br>Sprinkle with garlic powder.<br>Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake the bread bowls for approximately 40-45 minutes.<br>You will know the bread is done when the crust is light brown and the center is cooked through.<br>Remove from the oven and allow the bread bowls to rest on a cooling rack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Chicken Carbonara Ingredients:<\/strong><br>1\/2 pound bacon, diced<br>1 small onion, diced<br>1 pint sliced white mushrooms<br>1\/2 pound chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces 10 tablespoons all-purpose<br>flour (reserve 4 1\/2 tablespoons for the alfredo sauce) 6 tablespoons butter, melted<br>3 cups half and half cream<br>1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated<br>1\/2 cup Asiago cheese, grated<br>1 clove garlic, crushed<br>1\/4 teaspoon salt<br>1\/4 teaspoon white pepper<br>1 pound penne pasta, cooked<br>1\/2 cup mozzarella cheese, for topping<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Chicken Carbonara Instructions:<\/strong><br>Make the bread bowl according to the instructions above.<br>Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper and dredge them in flour.<br>In a skillet on medium heat, heat 4 tablespoons of oil and add the floured<br>chicken into the pan; brown for about 3 minutes per side.<br>Lower the heat to medium-low heat and continue until the chicken is cooked through.<br>Place chicken on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.<br>Place the bacon in the skillet and cook it until it is crispy.<br>Remove about 4 tablespoons of bacon, reserving it for the topping.<br>Add the mushrooms and yellow onion to the skillet and cook until the onion is translucent and the mushrooms are soft.<br>Turn the heat to low and return the chicken to the skillet.<br>Toss with the bacon, mushrooms, and onion.<br>Cook for a minute or two and then shut off the heat.<br>In a saucepan, make a roux by melting butter in the saucepan.<br>Add flour to the butter and stir continuously until the mixture becomes golden brown.<br>Add crushed garlic to the roux and stir for 1 minute.<br>Gradually pour the cream into the saucepan and whisk continuously until the sauce begins to thicken.<br>Add the Parmesan cheese, salt, and white pepper to the sauce;
