It is often not fatal. The cause is unknown, although it is more common in men with a family history of the disease and in those of Afro-Caribbean or African descent. <br \/>Symptoms do not usually develop until the cancer constricts the urethra, causing problems such as frequent urination, weak flow, and a feeling that the bladder has not emptied completely. Treatment depends on the stage of the cancer and the age, health, and wishes of the man. <br \/>In some cases, the cancer may only need to be monitored.
