It may be caused by many conditions, including cystic fibrosis , celiac disease, Crohn\u2019s disease, pancreatitis, parasitic diseases such as giardiasis, and intestinal damage.  <br \/> Certain medications and surgery on the intestine or stomach may also be causes.  <br \/> Common symptoms of malabsorption are weight loss, diarrhea, bloating, gas (flatus), abdominal pain, tiredness, and weakness. In severe cases, there may also be malnutrition, vitamin or mineral deficiencies, or anemia. <br \/>  Treatment is of the underlying cause, if possible.
