AURICULAR CHONDRITIS

Auricular chondritis is inflammation of the cartilage of the auricle (outer flap of the ear), usually as a result of a bacterial infection after a cut to the outer ear or ear piercing.
The infection causes inflammation, swelling, and pain in the outer ear.
Treatment with antibiotics usually clears up the infection.
