Opioid analgesic used for moderate to severe pain
DOSE IN NORMAL RENAL FUNCTION
Oral: 200 mg every 3–6 hours IM: 75–100 mg every 2–4 hours; obstetric analgesia: 100–150 mg depending on patient’s weight (2 mg/kg)IV: 50–100 mg every 2–4 hours
