Colonic lavage prior to diagnostic examination or surgical procedures requiring a clean colon

4 sachets, each reconstituted in 1 litre of water, at a rate of 250 mL every 10–15 minutes

    Klean-Prep is formulated to be hyper- osmotic and draw water into the bowel. None is absorbed systemically

    Each sachet of Klean-Prep contains:Polyethylene glycol 3350 – 59.0 g —Anhydrous sodium sulphate – 5.685 g —Sodium bicarbonate – 1.685 g —Sodium chloride – 1.465 g —Potassium chloride – 0.7425 g —The electrolyte content of 1 sachet when made up in 1 litre of water is:Sodium – 125 mmol —Sulphate – 40 mmol —Chloride – 35 mmol —Bicarbonate – 20 mmol —Potassium – 10 mmol
